Listowel, Ont- The Listowel Cyclones proudly recognize two outstanding members of our organization, Mark Kennedy and Aiden Renaud, who were selected to participate in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Senior Prospects Game, recently held in London, Ontario.
Mark Kennedy, the Cyclones’ dedicated Equipment Manager, earned his selection through tireless behind-the-scenes commitment that ensures our players are prepared to perform at the highest level every night. Alongside him, Aiden Renaud, a cornerstone of the Cyclones’ blue line, represented the club with distinction. Now in his fourth season with Listowel, Renaud continues to exemplify consistency, leadership, and pride in wearing the Cyclones jersey. The entire organization congratulates both Mark and Aiden on this well-earned recognition.
Cyclones Give Back: Community Equipment Drive
Cyclones goaltender Ethan Kowatsch is leading an important community initiative by organizing hockey equipment donation drives in partnership with Their Opportunity, a respected non-profit dedicated to ensuring that young athletes have access to the gear they need to play.
Equipment drives will take place in the lobby during Cyclones home games on:
-
January 4 at 2:00 PM
-
January 9 at 7:30 PM
Fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used hockey equipment by bringing it to the games at Steve Kerr Memorial Arena. This initiative reflects the Cyclones’ and Kowatsch ongoing commitment to giving back and strengthening hockey at the grassroots level throughout our community.
Battle of Perth County Returns This Sunday
After the holiday break, Cyclones hockey is back in full force this Sunday at 2:00 PM, as Listowel hosts the Stratford Warriors in another chapter of the storied “Battle of Perth County.”
Before puck drop, fans will be treated to a Minor Hockey matchup between Listowel and Wallace, showcasing the next generation of local talent. Following the game, the Cyclones invite fans of all ages to bring their skates and join the team on the ice. This post-game skate is a special opportunity to meet the players, take photos, and collect autographs with the athletes you cheer for every week.
As we turn the page into a new year, the Listowel Cyclones thank our fans, families, volunteers, and sponsors for their unwavering support. We wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year, and we look forward to seeing the entire Cyclones community this Sunday at the rink.
