LISTOWEL, ONT — The Listowel Cyclones are proud to announce that veteran defenceman Aiden Renaud will return to the organization for his fifth season in Cyclones colours.
A steady and experienced presence on the blue line, Renaud has become a familiar and respected part of the Cyclones’ defensive core. Since entering the Greater Ontario Hockey League with Listowel, he has continued to grow into a reliable two-way defenceman, bringing physicality, composure, and leadership to the back end.
Renaud began his Cyclones career during the 2022-23 season, appearing in 42 regular-season games and recording 10 assists, while adding two assists in six playoff games. The following year, he took another step forward offensively, posting five goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 46 regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign.
That same season, Renaud played an important role in Listowel’s extended playoff run, appearing in 22 postseason games and contributing one goal and six assists for seven points. His ability to handle important minutes and compete in high-pressure situations helped establish him as a key part of the Cyclones’ defensive group.
In 2024-25, Renaud delivered the most productive offensive season of his junior career, recording six goals and 24 assists for 30 points in 47 games. He also added two assists in four playoff contests, continuing to show his value at both ends of the ice.
This past season, Renaud appeared in 34 regular-season games, registering four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, while continuing to provide a strong veteran presence for the Cyclones.
Across his time in Listowel, Renaud has played 169 regular-season games, recording 15 goals, 62 assists, and 77 points, along with 267 penalty minutes. He has also added 11 points in 32 playoff games, further proving his ability to contribute when the games matter most.
As he enters his fifth season with the Cyclones, Renaud brings valuable experience, maturity, and stability to the lineup. His return gives Listowel a proven defenceman who understands the expectations of the organization and the commitment required to compete in the GOHL.
