CYCLONES COMPLETE PERFECT WEEKEND WITH ROAD WIN IN LASALLE

LaSalle, Ont- The Listowel Cyclones capped off a strong weekend performance with a hard-fought 4–3 victory over the LaSalle Vipers on Sunday afternoon at the Vollmer Recreation Complex. Coming off Friday night’s shutout win at home, Listowel maintained momentum and composure in a fast-paced contest that tested depth, discipline, and resilience.

First Period: Cyclones Strike Early

Listowel opened the scoring midway through the first frame when Lyndon Cabral capitalized on a turnover and found the back of the net unassisted, giving the Cyclones the early 1–0 lead. The goal energized the bench and set the tone for an intense matchup between two competitive Western Conference teams.

Second Period: Momentum Swings

The Vipers responded in the middle frame, scoring twice to pull ahead. However, at 14:40, Cyclones forward Ewan Muzzell made his mark with a milestone moment—his first career GOHL goal. The tally came off strong puck movement and a well-timed net-front presence, with assists from Clark deBoer and Max Greer. The goal pulled Listowel even heading into the final period and shifted momentum back in the Cyclones’ favour.

Third Period: A Statement Finish

The Cyclones wasted no time reclaiming control in the third. Just over four minutes in, Clark deBoer buried a go-ahead goal off a setup from Ryan Cranny and first-year forward Ewan Muzzell, who recorded his first career GOHL assist on the play—capping off a breakout performance.

LaSalle responded with pressure and found an equalizer, but the Cyclones were far from finished. At 13:38, veteran forward Jordan Visneskie broke the tie with a critical marker, assisted by Lyndon Cabral and Keaton Middleton, securing what would ultimately stand as the game-winning goal.

In Net: A Standout Performance

Goaltender Jack Bree was a difference-maker, facing a relentless Vipers offense and stopping 44 shots to secure the win. His athletic saves and composed positioning earned him notable recognition in an intense road matchup.
