Pollock Division All-Star joins Listowel following an impressive 34-point campaign with the Kincardine Bulldogs
LISTOWEL, ONT. — The Listowel Cyclones are proud to announce the signing of forward Zasha Ortman for the 2026–2027 Greater Ontario Hockey League season.
The 18-year-old from Durham, Ontario, joins the Cyclones following an outstanding season with the Kincardine Bulldogs of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Ortman appeared in 42 regular-season games for Kincardine during the 2025–2026 campaign, recording 18 goals and 16 assists for 34 points. His ability to consistently generate offence established him as a dangerous presence in the Bulldogs’ forward group and earned him recognition as a PJHL Pollock Division All-Star.
The right-shooting forward carried his production into the postseason, contributing four goals and three assists across 10 Schmalz Cup playoff contests. In total, Ortman finished the season with 22 goals and 41 points through 52 regular-season and playoff appearances.
His performance demonstrated an ability to produce throughout a demanding junior schedule while continuing to elevate his game when the intensity increased during the postseason.
Ortman brings a balanced offensive skill set to Listowel. His 18-goal regular season reflects his ability to finish scoring opportunities, while his 16 assists demonstrate the vision and awareness required to create offence for his teammates.
Before joining Kincardine, Ortman gained his first junior experience with the Mount Forest Patriots during the 2024–2025 season. That opportunity introduced him to the speed and physical demands of junior hockey before he emerged as a productive full-time player the following year.
Ortman’s development also included time with the Grey-Bruce Highlanders at the U14 AAA and U15 AAA levels before advancing to the Owen Sound Jr. Attack U16 program. Throughout that progression, he continued developing the offensive instincts, competitive edge and scoring ability that have prepared him for the next stage of his career.
His addition provides the Cyclones with another young forward who has already demonstrated that he can produce at the junior level. Ortman’s scoring touch, playmaking ability and postseason experience will strengthen Listowel’s offensive depth entering the new season.
The move to Listowel represents an exciting opportunity for Ortman to test himself at the Greater Ontario Hockey League level. After recording more than a point every two games during his season in Kincardine, he arrives ready to compete for a meaningful role within the Cyclones’ forward group.
