Gadshill native joins Listowel after earning 10 victories during his first season of junior hockey with the Wellesley Applejacks
LISTOWEL, ONT. — The Listowel Cyclones are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Logan MacMillan for the 2026–2027 Greater Ontario Hockey League season.
The 18 year-old from Gadshill, Ontario, joins the Cyclones after completing his first full season of junior hockey with the Wellesley Applejacks of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
MacMillan appeared in 17 games for Wellesley during the 2025–2026 campaign, compiling a 10-5-0 record alongside a 3.27 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage. His 10 victories reflected a successful transition to the junior level and demonstrated his ability to provide dependable goaltending against older, more experienced competition.
A left-catching goaltender, MacMillan has steadily progressed through several respected minor-hockey programs in southwestern Ontario. His development has been highlighted by strong positional play, composure in the crease and the ability to give his team an opportunity to win.
MacMillan delivered one of his strongest statistical seasons with the Cambridge Hawks U16 AAA program in 2023–2024. He appeared in 15 ALLIANCE games, posting an impressive 1.62 goals-against average, two shutouts and an 8-2-5 record.
He continued his outstanding play during the postseason, recording a 1.35 goals-against average across two playoff appearances. That season represented an important step in his development and established MacMillan as a consistent presence between the pipes.
The following year, MacMillan advanced to the U18 AAA level with the Huron-Perth Lakers. He made 18 regular-season appearances during the 2024–2025 campaign, recording a 3.24 goals-against average and two shutouts while facing the increased pace and offensive ability of older competition.
His experience with Huron-Perth prepared him for the demands of junior hockey, where he responded by earning a winning record and taking on meaningful minutes during his season in Wellesley.
Before his time in Cambridge and Huron-Perth, MacMillan developed within the Waterloo Wolves organization at the U14 AAA and U15 AAA levels. His progression from Waterloo to Cambridge, Huron-Perth and Wellesley reflects a goaltender who has continued to embrace new challenges while advancing through each stage of his career.
MacMillan now brings that experience to Listowel as the Cyclones continue building their roster for the upcoming season. His junior experience, competitive approach and proven ability to deliver steady performances will add valuable depth to the club’s goaltending group.
The Listowel Cyclones look forward to supporting MacMillan’s continued development as he prepares to take the next step in his career. His arrival creates further competition in the crease and gives the organization another talented young goaltender capable of contributing throughout the 2026–2027 campaign.
